About Listening Party
Listening Party is a music production business based in Vancouver, Canada, and is known for helping artists create authentic, immersive, and unforgettable music. It is operated by Shane Stephenson, a multifaceted music producer with over 15 years of experience producing and playing. His years in the industry working with talented artists have helped him solidify a strong community of unique and talented artists and musicians.
Shane loves to share his experiences working in music while having ADHD-C, and helping artists to find processes that works for their specific journeys. He has worked in various recording studios for the past decade, has Music Theory certification with the RCM, and a diploma of Audio Engineering and Music Production from SAE Institute Vancouver. As a performer, he is known for playing live with the bands Derrival, Morning Show, and Xana, and singing with the mixed-voice choir Kôr.

Where are you located?
Listening Party Recordings operates in Vancouver BC, Canada, and we work remotely with clients from all over the world. We are very grateful that our recording studio is able to exist on the unceded and ancestral territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We recognize the privilege of being able to create and share music from these lands and give respect to their Elders, past and present.
What services do you offer?
We offer full-scale music production services. That means meeting you where you are at with your song, and working with you to take it all the way to getting it on streaming services (like Spotify, Apple Music, etc). Learn more on our Services page. We also offer personalized coaching for artists or producers looking to develop their skills.
What type of music do you work on?
Most kinds! We specialize in highlighting your unique sound and emphasizing that to put it on the commercial landscape. For most, that means that the final recordings exist somewhere in the “Pop-Alternative” vein, and are a mash-up of all the sub-genres that make your sound authentically you.
